Does anyone know how far it is from where the cruise terminal is?

From the cruise terminal, you can easily reach the Hard Rock by taking tram 26 (tram stop is across the street from the Movenpick - just a 3 minute walk from the cruise terminal to tram 26) to Centraal Station & from Centraal Station, take tram 2 (7 stops) to Leidseplein (it is only a 5 minute walk to the cafe from the Leidseplein tram stop). I assume someone in your group must collect the pins. :)

The Hard Rock is only a 5 minute walk from the Rijksmuseum.

Yes, the tram is cheap and doable but a bit of hassle. If there's more than two in your party, a taxi probably works out at most twice as expensive (but far quicker).

It is the "Passenger Terminal Amsterdam". It is located on the IJ, just east of Centraal Station. Use Google Maps and input Passenger Terminal Amsterdam to Hard Rock Cafe. The distance by foot is 3.6 km and it takes about 45 minutes to reach the HRC - I think that may be a long walk for someone pushing a wheelchair. However, the terrain is pretty flat.
