Thomsons 'phone numbers

Recommended Posts

I booked "Ancient Wonders" online yesterday and paid the smaller of the two deposit options.

Within a couple of hours I got a reminder that the balance was due now - although the earlier downloaded confirmation stated 28th July.

The number to call was listed as an 0871 - 10p a minute.

I object in principle to paying Thomsons (or anybody else for that matter) a telephone call fee so I Googled and came up with this link -

http://www.thomson.co.uk/editorial/faqs/payment/paying-off-the-balance.html

A regular landline number for cruise customers, without call fees........ so I 'phoned and settled the balance.

The same number can be used for booking a cabin etc.

How long before Thomsons spot this "loophole" and remove it ?

Thank you thats really helpful. I need to pay a balance soon and also really object to extra call costs.

Just realised I can ring my bank with an 01 number by using the call from abroad number by replacing +44 with 0

Maggie :)
