Carnival raising table limits?

There is a rumor that Carnival is raising table limits and removing one dollar chips?

Anyone seen this?

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Johnny75: They can't remove one dollar chips from the casino since some bets require a few bets that require another dollar other than the five dollar chip.

Have heard that that Carnival has raised table minimums from a $5 table to a $10 table. Earlier this year have noticed it was done on another line I was on.

Problem is, if they raise it too much, they will drive away the gamblers with the lower bankroll. $10 min on Craps wouldn't be too bad if they included place bets in the min, but a $10 min pass line would push me out.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO vwrestler: Every bet in craps is a different bet. Can't have a Place Bet for $12 on the six and/or eight then have a lower bet for the Pass Line or the Don't Pass.

I know, I was just saying that if they added all the bets up to get the min, would be ok. Similar to when Blackjack was $6 min, but they let you bet $5 on the hand and $1 on the fun pairs.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO vwrestler171: Every bet in craps is a seperate bet. You can't take collective bets and add them all up. It would be too confusing. Also, one could say why not make a collection of smaller bets as long as it adds up to the minimum bet and collect on all when any hit? It just doesn't make sense.

I know that, that's why if the min is $10. I won't be in the casino that much.

It's the $1 color chips on roulette that were raised to $2 on some ships, not the $1 blue cash chips. Only roulette uses those chips, so it would only affect roulette. The table minimum bets is another thing. I have only seen the $2 roulette chips on Breeze (the Players Club host said that was the only ship doing it at that time), but have heard that it has expanded to other ships since then. I still haven't seen the roulette minimum be more than $5, but have heard that it is $10 on some ships.

It seems they raise the limits on the Premier, Ultra and Elite cruises. These are the reduced/free rate cruises that the players club offer.

There was actually a high limit area for the Elite cruise now on the Dream.
