Upgrade?

We received an email today about "PREFERRED LIMITED UPGRADE SPECIAL!!"

This is our first cruise and we aren't really sure what this mean. Are these prices per person and per day? We have three people in our cabin on a seven day cruise so it would be $59 x 3 x 7?

We specifically picked our cabin since it would fit three better. When they sent us this offer did they take into account that we have three passengers or is this just something they send to everyone?

It should be per person, but for the entire duration of your cruise. They will probably have sent it out to lots of people on your sailing, that are currently booked in your cabin category. If it is something you are interested in call them or email them back straight away, as the offers can get snapped up quickly. You would need to find out from them the cabin numbers they can offer, so you can see if they work well for 3 in a cabin.

Yes - the offer has been sent out to many people. And may be taken up really quickly.

If you are interested, you need to work on it right away.

And remind them that there are 3 of you in the cabin.

You might want to have a deck plan handy when you call so you can see where cabins are located that they might offer you. It helps if you can see multiple decks at the same time (i.e.: paper plans). You probably want to pay attention to what is above the potential cabin (i.e.: galley can = night noise) and where the stack comes through.

You can also check out potential cabins on a nonaffiliated website if you google ' "Holland America" & "cabin pictures"' where you will find a continuously growing database of pictures.
