Public Bus on Oahu

I am wondering about taking the bus from the airport to our hotel. Our flight arrives late at night so we thought it might be less crowded at that time (around 10:30/11pm. We will have backpacks only most likely, but don't want to risk it if it will be very crowded. We might just arrange a shuttle, but keeping our options open. Thank you!

We have used TheBus many times, although not at that time. Backpacks will probably be OK, although technically they don't allow anything bigger than carry on luggage.

Make sure to check The Bus website for any route changes due to the rail system's construction which is often mentioned on the local news.

I don't think it will be crowded but the times might be a challenge. Looks to me like route 19 is your trip to Waikiki. (Weekday and weekend are fairly similar) Couple potential issues, after the 11:31 bus the last 2 buses stop at Ward ave, aka does not go into Waikiki. Then where it goes in Waikiki depending where you are staying, could leave you with a bit of a walk. I wouldn't worry about the backpacks, I've brought a full 3 day pack on once.
