Airport Adventure Snorkeling Excursion

Has anyone ever done this excursion in St. Maarten? We love to snorkel and wanted to see the planes without doing the beach so are hoping this is as good as it looks?

We did this last year. It was great. The excursion was with Airport Adventure SXM. The boat used is an old troop carrier so the front end drops down for easy access to the water once anchored. Also there is a floating deck on the side.

I heard that the snokelling is not that good, and the water is murky. Did you all think the snorkelling was good? Is it more of a sightseeing cruise?

The snorkelling at Maho is not very good and the beach itself is the best place to view the planes.

We also were pleasantly surprised. Nice 'tour'. On the return boat ride it was very 'rocky' and the bow hit lots of waves which brought a lot of water (read, splashing) into the lower deck where we were sitting. Some people did look a little green. We got pretty wet while sitting there.

An early poster told me the snorkeling wasn't very good. I checked out some pictures and videos, and it didn't look like very good snorkeling.
