Whale Watching in Cabo San Lucas with ShoreExcursioner?

My wife and I will be taking our first cruise that's not in the Caribbean this coming February so we're quite uninitiated in the ways of the West Coast.

I'm intrigued by the Whale Watching excursion that is listed on ShoreExcursioner (http://www.shoreexcursioneer.com/cabo-san-lucas/whale-watching-all-inclusive.html) but there are no reviews posted for this particular excursion (and I know absolutely nothing about this particular excursion provider).

Has anyone done this excursion in particular?

Has anyone done excursions with this company? Are they as advertised?

John,

Sorry, but I am not familiar with this company. I clicked the link, and it does look legit. One thing though, any time that you can book through the ship (and it appears that you can in this case), the cruise lines are really good about making certain that your excursion is a good adventure.

Another consideration is that Cabo is a tender port. That means that 2000 passengers are trying to disembark at once, all loading onto small boats. That can take (in my experience) several hours. The times that we have booked via the cruise ship, the cost was a bit more, but we were afforded an escorted disembarkation....(they escorted us to the head of the line!) That, alone, may be worth the additional fee.

Enjoy Cabo, we love it there!

Thanks for the advice. Very much appreciated. In the past we have stuck with excursions booked through Princess for the very reasons you mention. We probably will do so on this trip as well. But the difference in price made me curious about booming through a third party.

I believe Shore Excursioneer is a third party tour broker. I believe they sell excursion on behalf of the actual excursion operators. Having said this, Tripadvisor has a number of reviews on their service and most are centered on Cozumel and there are more favorable than not.

In any event, as downsized pointed out, Cabo is a tender port and people that booked excursion through the ship will have priority over the rest of the passengers. People who booked excursions independently run the risk of missing their excursion start time.

Enjoy!

While I haven't used the website mentioned, I did book an independent shore excursion in Cabo for a whale watching trip earlier this year. I avoided the possibility of missing a morning excursion by booking the afternoon trip. We had a fabulous time! While the cruise line's excursion had approximately 100 people on it, my husband and I shared our same-size catamaran with maybe 7 other people. Our less expensive fare also included an open bar, and an extra hour of whale watching. We watched the whales put on an amazing show about 10 minutes after the other boat left. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend an independent whale watching trip in Cabo.

What company did you book with? I would love to book with them also.

Thanks!
