Going solo first time in Dec on Getaway. Flying into FLL want to shop! I need advice. Rent a car from FLL and drive to Sawgrass outlet, return the car that day and stay at springhill suites in fort lauterdale then shuttle to POM. The other chioce take go shuttle from fll to Cambria suites in Miami and go to Dolpin mall. Flying in day before cruise any suggestions?

Not sure if this suggestion will help or not - I cruise solo out of Ft Lauderdale & Miami ports regularly, and always fly in at least a day early to shop.

If cruising out of Miami, I always stay at the Courtyard Miami at Dolphin Mall - it's literally in the parking lot of the mall.

If cruising out of FtL, I always stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise - it's across the street from the parking lot of the mall.

For both, I take a taxi airport > hotel & hotel > port.

Hi:)...I have sailed from both ports many times (and I always sail solo)

and I always get in a day early but shopping is not a priority for me.

You want to rent a car just to go shopping? Why not see the difference

in price of the car rental and what a car service would charge?

Sawgrass Mills is quite west.....

Go Shuttle leaves from the airport....unless they have changed. I am

not understanding part of your post....is there a way you can fly into Miami?

I would echo the previous poster.....stay at The Courtyard in Miami

and go shopping at the Dolphin Mall.

Used to see a special SG shuttle running down Collins in AM on South Beach(hotel row).Theres also a Dolphin Mill regular city bus in area.

I stayed at Springhill Suites when my flight was canceled. It's in the middle of no where literally. I suggest you stay in FLL area. There us a free trolley that takes you around the area and I believe it stops at a mall. There are also city buses you can use to get around. I stayed at Embassy Suites in FLL.
