Hotel that sleeps 5 : flying to FLL, cruising from Miami

We are flying into FLL and cruising out of Miami the next day. We are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that sleeps 5 in one room. Any suggestions?

We are with a group of 14. What would be the best transportation from airport to hotel, hotel to pier?

There are some extended stay/all suite hotels close to FLL (Homewood Suites, etc.) that would work for you. Embassy Suites in the 17th Street area would also fit 5 in a room.

You should be able to fill up a couple of vans - check with SAS, QLS, Go Airport and MJS. Typical fares start at $15 per person but with 14 travelling together to POM you should get a group rate. The ride from FLL to POM takes about 45+ minutes

This question is asked frequently, the standard answer is one that has "Suites" in the name, like Embassy Suites. That isn't the only answer, but it covers most of the cases. Hotels need to have rooms rated for 5 people- most don't, unless it is a suite, or two bedroom unit.

So, imagining, as commonly recommended on this board, that you will stay in the 17th St area in FLL, a taxi is the ride option. From 17th St to Port of Miami, there are many shuttle recommendations, like QLS.

Check the Hyatt House in Dania Beach. Free airport shuttle, they have large suites with two bedrooms, 3 beds AND a pull out sofa. Three of those might take care of your group, depending who wants to sleep with who. I am staying there is a few weeks. Not sure of your definition of reasonably priced, the three bed suite is costing my $340 in the middle of the high season.

There are many shuttle providers routinely recommended on here. Jiffy Jeff is highly suggested by just about everyone http://www.gojiffyjeff.com/

there are many others, but do a search here before you book someone. Many are great and many suck.
