I'd suggest walking along the malecon and seeing if any vendors there have what you're looking for. Many of the so-called Mexican wares sold in port shops or in the shops in the town directly outside the cruise port aren't handmade or even "authentic" to Mexico.

if you do the Mayan experience you might find some, or any shop away from the strip. altho I don't if there are many in Costa Maya....

 

you could email Steve from Tropicante and see if he knows anywhere to get that...He seems to know everything...
