Liquor store or drugstore (Walgreens) at Galveston pier

Does anyone know if either of these are close to the terminal?

I am not the handiest at searching the web for them since I can't tell if they are walking distance. The hubs and I would like to bring wine on board, but can't bring through the airport because we are doing carry on only and it's over the 3oz rule.

There's a Walgreens at 308 Seawall Blvd. According to google maps, it's 2 miles from the pier.

Frankie's Liquor store is at 2218 Strand. .03 miles, a 6 minutes walk to the pier.

I've never been to either of these places. I just googled.

Hopefully some who's been there can chime in.

FYI, liquor stores in Texas are open 10 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday.

Thanks tillie, that's great info! We were going to grab it Monday before the ship leaves. I didn't even think about Sunday's being a problem because here in Colorado they are open 7 days a week lol

We walked from the pier to that CVS and back on a turnaround day. I'd do it again if I needed something. Pretty easy walk (without luggage) and we likely could have caught a taxi if we had wanted one. Good sized, clean drug store with all the usual personal care products and sundries and such...typical CVS.
