We were on Dream for the last Superbowl and it was an awesome time. Cruise director, waiters and bartenders dressed in referee shirts. People were all wearing their home team jerseys and tee shirts. They served tailgate food on the Lido and even took exotic football bets in the casino for the game.Had raffles during the game.

I do advise you get out on the Lido early to get a good seat or on Splendor a table facing the big screen.

We had such a great time that we are trying to book a cruise for Superbowl every year from now on. We are booked on the Victory this year and have a group of about 20 going so far. We can't wait.Nothing like being in a Lido pool watching the game!

Just off Splendor. If it's raining they will close the roof for the game or movies. It can get pretty loud with the roof closed.

Thanks for the info...

A seperate question: Was the Philippino band Music Asia playing near the casino?

Thanks again!

Mike

My Super Bowl experience was way back on the Triumph in 2006, Seattle and Pittsburgh. The live feed was shown on a huge screen in the theater, with waiters serving drinks and hors d'ouerves. It wasn't as elaborate as the recent scene described by DeadHead Big Guy from NY, so it's nice to know SB has evolved and grown on Carnival.

I was on the Liberty a couple years ago, (2012) it wasn't as elaborate as the scene described above either. They sold some coffee mugs and key chains for each team. I sat out on Lido and watched it on the big screen. They also had it in the EA sports bar, and in the main theater. I don't recall if there was any special food out. My bar waiter did keep me well supplied with beer! I am a Pats fan, so I pretty much needed it.

I've been on a few cruises during Super Bowl Sunday...different ships from the Splendor though. The only time it wasn't shown out on Lido on the big screen is when there was inclement weather (extremely cold, windy, and somewhat rainy). That year it was shown in the main theatre. All of SB cruises I've been on have had the tailgate party food.

I was on a cruise the last 2 years , Freedom didn't do to much but had it on the big screen and the lido was full. The Breeze was a hell of a party 2 years ago when the ravens won. All depends on your CD from what I could tell. The Lido was packed on both cruises, people were getting there spots at 3 in the afternoon. All ships with big screens will have a party, don't know about the rest Some may show it in the show room and sports bars

Not only will they show the game on the Lido, but they will probably show it in the main theater too. That happened on our cruise on the Freedom in 2013 which left on Super Bowl Sunday. A cruise ship is an exciting place to watch the game!

Yes. Super Bowl will be out on the big screen on the Lido Deck as well as other venues.

Super Bowl on a cruise ship was on my "bucket list" and I did this last year. It was great fun for a while but the game itself was so one-sided it was not as fun as it could have been.

People camped out on the Lido deck all day for "prime seats"....esp. those who were Bronco and Seahawk fans. We were in port at Half Moon Cay that day and my friend and I stayed on the ship so we happened to get a birds eye view of the chair saving for the big game! The staff did a commendable job moving items from chairs where no human existed for long periods of time.

Previous years I have been at sea during the playoffs and college championships and those games were on the Big Screen as well.
