Eclipse cabin air con

I find it very difficult to sleep with air con noise. In some ships the thermostat on the cabin wall allows you to turn the air con right down, but other ships it does nothing - I was told it was centrally controlled. Considering a cruise on the Eclipse next year so could someone tell me what the situation is - hopefully being a newer ship it is ok.

You can control the temperature in the cabin yourself, but you can't turn it off all together, nor can you control the fan speed.

Just off the Ecipse to the Med with its warm weather. Air Con worked a treat cooling down when it was needed and warming it up on the last day before Southampton.

You can only adjust temp not fan speed. It was silent / near silent.
