nordski Posted August 13, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted August 13, 2017 I can indeed picture Sir Noel Coward EATING his bacon in a velvet smoking jacket and monocle, but I can't wrap my brain around the idea of him actually COOKING it -- or anything -- himself. Isn't that what 'help' is for? And surely humming "World Weary" as he awaits the rejuvenating meal. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
nordski Posted August 13, 2017 Author #27 Share Posted August 13, 2017 . Peameal bacon is bacon coated in cornmeal and I've eaten it in Ontario. Let me say this first, as I have the floor-bacon needs no assistance to make it taste good. And speaking of floor, the mouth-feel of peameal bacon is similar to dropping back bacon on the floor and then eating it without first dislodging the adhering dust bunnies that live down there. That Toronto boasts of being the capital of the peameal world just gives me reason to give that city a wide berth on my next visit to that otherwise wonderful country. Norris Do you mean dust bunnies aren't a universally recognized condiment? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
SteveH2508 Posted August 13, 2017 #28 Share Posted August 13, 2017 Do you mean dust bunnies aren't a universally recognized condiment? With British Army bacon sarnies and egg banjos they are de rigeur (along with a greasy thumb print in the middle of the bread). For the civvie version - they never really caught on...
