Safety In Grand Turk

Probably. The only traffic is the traffic to the cruise port and the nearby businesses. You'll need to be aware that they drive on the left here so you the traffic is coming from behind you on the way to GB. Not wide shoulders on the road and no sidewalks. But if you take the beach to jacks Shack then exit, there's not much traffic. On the beach, since it's a "locals" beach, there's not a lot of facilities and you'll need to be sure someone is watching your belongings. But you'll definitely need to do that if you stayed inside the cruise port at Margaritaville. Very easy to pick up something that's not yours.

Hello,

Just wondering how safe Grand Turk is once you leave the Cruise Port area. Is it safe to walk on your own the mile or so to Governor's Beach???

Seemed totally safe except perhaps for a few tipsy tourists on scooters.

we rented a golf cart in Grand Turk when we last visited.........not a ton of traffic here but I do seem to remember the left side of road driving.......that was fun

Awesome! Do you remember where you rented the golf cart from? This sounds like a neat thing to do and could go see the lighthouse etc for some photography? How much was the rental?

Check out this board for info on the golf carts (including how to book). Lots of threads about it, and all sorts of opinions, from raves to full out rants.
