Carnival Pride Upgrade 2.0

Does anyone know for sure if the Carnival Pride will get the 2.0 upgrade in 2013? If so, when in 2013?

The Carnival site only lists 2.0 upgrades sometime in 2013, but no specifics on what will be added or when. Doing an itinerary search for 2013 doesn't show any gaps in there, so a couple cruises will likely be cancelled. I would guess that won't be in the summer when Pride prices and occupancy are really high.

Thanks, DanJ, I did the same research. Just wondering if anyone knew. We love sailing on the Pride and want to Sail on her next year, but would really love to sail after she has her upgrades.

I recieved 3 answers on the Carnival sight, all saying they thought it would be in November 2013. We wanted to sail the first sailing in November due to it being the last cruise the Pride takes until the Spring that will stop at Half Moon Cay. Guess we might have to wait until after the 2.0 uprgrade.

John Heald just posted on his FB page the Pride will be in drydock Oct 20-Nov 3 2013. He will update in the coming weeks what each ship will be getting in 2.0 upgrades.

Thanks again, DanJ. I appreciate the information. We want to take the Nov. 3rd sailing from Baltimore, to HMC, GT, Freeport - mainly to see the upgrades and to go to HMC - paradise!!!

Sorry to jump in on an older post, but.. does anyone have confirmation of what 2.0 upgrades are coming to the Pride during her drydock session?

I am curious too. I have seen that there will be some but not all. I am sailing Dec 1 2013 and want to know what we are in for!! DH is hoping for Guys burgers!!

I know from very solid sources that Pride will be getting 2.0 upgrades in January 2014. This will be the usual full video support and smaller cast

Cool beans. We are taking our first cruise on Grandeur this year, but if we like it, we may want to try another option next year - NEW STUFF is always exciting :D

i just checked the updated sheet Pride is now saying 2014?? We are sailing on her in January so guess we won't get to experience the upgrades. oh well - will still be an awesome vacation!

not sure how accurate this is though that is where I saw 2014.

The pride will now get the upgrades during a dry dock after she leaves Baltimore, so not until December 2014.

We are sailing on the Pride Nov 30, 2014. In checking prices I noticed that there are no bookings available for Oct 19th, Oct 26th or Nov 2nd 2014. Hopefully this 2.0 refit. :)

I am so furious that Carnival decided to cancel the last sailings from Baltimore Oct/Nov 2014 on the Pride. I had a large group on the last sailing on 11/30/14 from Baltimore to San Juan. I was able to get them booked on the Splendor on 11/1/14 from San Juan to New York. It took several calls to the groups department but my customers are happy!
