From cruise port to LAX hotel

Will be staying in a hotel near LAX after the cruise. What's the best way to get there? Since I am not going to/leaving from an airport, I would assume the shuttle won't be an option, right? How much should I expect the taxi to be?

You can still use the shuttle... but yes, it will take you to the airport. If you're staying near LAX, though, the hotel might have a free shuttle, so you'd just have to get off the ship's shuttle and onto your hotel's shuttle... seems inconvenient but we made a similar plan work last year and it wasn't bad at all.

From what I've read here, a cab is about $50 one way from LAX to the San Pedro port, so depending on how many people are in your party, that might be the way to go.

You have three good options.

1. Take a shuttle.

2. Take a private car.

3. Take a taxi.

Personally, I would go with either option 1 or 2.

There are various shuttle services and private car services. To get an idea of price, you might want to contact Super Shuttle and get a price and also they have a subsidiary called execu car so you can also ask them to transfer you to that group to see what a price for a town car would be.
