Dining on Majesty

Recommended Posts

This may be an old subject so please bear with me. Looking to cruise on the Majesty next year - have read that it is difficult to get a table for 2 in the Four Seasons and Seven Seas restaurants.

Never had a problem on Celebration, Spirit or Dream. What are other cruisers' experiences of dining on the Majesty ?

Not many tables for two - we got one just once. Not a problem though, we did not mind sharing with others we find it part of the holiday, most tables are for six. Really hope you like the Majesty - we were not keen on the general layout, the buffet section is split and seating is very scarse.

The show lounge is not ideal either, if you sit forward the spotlights are right in your eyes, it would have to be for the itenerary if we used this ship again.

We went on The Majesty for the first time last month. We used to go to The Four Seaons for breakfast and didn't mind being shown to a shared table- it was nice having a chat.We observed another couple insisting on a 'table for two' and the waiter quickly obliged.

In the evening we always went to Cafe Royale on Deck 10 for the informal buffet as soon as it opened at 6pm and the tables are all for two, or three, or four.We always got a table and never had to share. It is laid out nicely in the evening with crisp white tablecloths and flowers on the tables. We loved it.

Booked again for May 2014!

Same as us Flopsy :) We used the dining room for breakfast. Buffet was too hectic in the mornings :D We also used the buffet at night as we couldn't get in to the MDR for dinner at 8pm, due to queues  We liked the buffet for dinner as it was not too crowded and as you say nicely laid out with tablecloths and flowers on the tables. I think we mostly sat on our own, but we don't mind sitting with others and having a chat about the days events :)
