Turn Down and choccies
Jim The Scot replied to Rebel Rouser's topic in Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson)
Strange on the turn down as cabin crew would need to make up a pull down sofa bed every night if you have a child staying We are going with the family with 3 in a balcony cabin with a pull down sofa bed for the kid.We discussed the workings off this on our previous cruise with our cabin steward who said they,d be in every evening to lay out mattress and makeup the bed Mrs JTS loves the cruise news so will just head to reception for a hard copy.Shes also partial to the choccy treats but doesn,t bother me in the least so no big loss -

Hi RR Hope your well Is this recent as not long back and no mention off this? Anyhow, cant be doing with all this digital malarky so will collect my CN from reception in future -
We dont go till July but our schedule of speciality dining/ excursions are open for first three days.Gib rock tour excursion is sold out already however not an issue for us as we do the local rock tour Our intention is to go for a special meal as a family,4 ad and 1 child but doesnt accept bookings for more than 4 and to enquire once on the ship๐ค,not much good if by that time its fully booked especially as we are limited to dine before 7-30 due to the child. To counteract that we will need to book two tables,a table for three and table for two and hope the can push them together

Certainly sounds like they,re still having issues bob.I,d give them a quick bell just in case We,re off in a few days and on our cruise control, cant download luggage tags, boarding passes but when I checked a few days ago able to book excursions, not sure about dining If they are having software problems which having been going on for weeks cant be difficult for them to inform their customers via their website Forget that, obviously it is too difficult for them ๐ Theres one thing, very little of TUI/Marella profits goes towards their website/IT department

Bob For 3rd of May cruise think your a bit too far out for booking dining/excursions.

Not sure B 8025 which looking at the deck plan is about 7 from the stern I thinkโฆShort cruise so it wont really matter plus spend little time in cabin

In our many years of cruising we have only once not pre booked our cabin as it was a very late booking and we were allocated our cabin at the port check in We are off in a few weeks time and have chosen not to pre book our cabin.Anyone know when we will be allocated our cabin? Will it be at port check in like previously or before?

Hi Broomeboy You,ll be docking in Civitavecchia for Rome which is some distance away so will require an organised coach to get there unless you intend travelling differently Cant help with the walk to the Trevi as we never visited Rome due to the distance away from port Enjoy your cruise
