Outrigger Canoe Excursion

Has anyone done an outrigger canoe "tour"/experience on any of the islands/ports?

There's a outfit that rents outrigger canoe rides near Kona, right next to Kailua pier. It's a workout, but that's to be expected. What else were you wanting to know?

You can also take an outrigger canoe ride in Waikiki, just google it.

Are you talking about the experience where you ride the waves into the beach in an outrigger canoe? Each boat has it's own experienced Captain, so you don't need any real skills. I believe there are probably several of these along Waikiki Beach in O'ahu. I think you ride several waves for @ $25. I believe the same thing is available at Kalapaki Bay in Kauai.

Thanks for the replies! We're going to check out Kauai Beach Boys. Includes experiencing the surf. It's a short walk from where we dock, so that's even better.
