rcprncss Posted March 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Has anyone done this hike recently? How did you like it? What was your experience? Which tour company did you use? I'm considering this hike in April. Thanks. :)
rcprncss Posted April 22, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted April 22, 2014 Nobody ever responded to my original post. I wanted to share my experience. The hike was great. The two waterfalls were very pretty. The hike was moderate to difficult and we used hiking sticks provided. I didn't time us but I would say 20-30 minutes each way. We enjoyed the hike. We had a bad experience with the company we used, A&E.
HeidisCruises Posted May 21, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2014 Very interested in this hike for our November cruise. Any suggestions as to what to look for (or avoid) in a tour operator would be really appreciated. Thanks for posting!
CoralReef Posted May 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2014 We did this hike in March. It's a pretty, low impact hike on a clearly defined trail. You don't really need a tour operator. We were actually planning to take the #6 bus, but a taxi driver made us a good offer to take us to Seven Sisters and wait for us. We got a better deal by walking past all the tour operators into the shopping center, then talking directly to the taxi drivers. The hike was shorter than we expected, so we renegotiated with our driver for an island tour and visit to the nutmeg factory. It was a nice day for about US $100 (including tip). You could easily combine Seven Sisters with Grand Etang park if you haven't been there before. (We had.) Bear in mind, November is likely to be wet. Be prepared for a muddy hike (water sandals rather than sneakers), and I would take plastic rain ponchos.
rcprncss Posted May 22, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted May 22, 2014 I agree with above poster. If I could do it again, I would just hire a taxi to take us there. We went to a rum factor also and then the beach. We have been there before and I wanted to try something different. (hike)
awhfy Posted August 27, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2014 Loved that hike! It says strenuous & it is for many. The waterfall at the base was most refreshing. If you don't normally hike trails it would be pretty challenging Sent from my iPad using Forums
