sus809 Posted July 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2017 We will be docked in Kotor in October. Is a visit to Budva worth the trip or is there enough to see in the city of Kotor. Thank you in advance for your advice.
LondonTowner Posted July 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2017 I would probably stay in Kotor or take a taxi to Perast. Sent from my iPad using Forums

TeeRick Posted July 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2017 It depends on how much time you have. We went to Budva with our private tour group. It has a well-preserved old wall city center which has a lot of shops and dining options. Scenery is beautiful and there is a beach there too. sus809 Posted July 28, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted July 28, 2017 That's worth considering. Thanks for your input.
hubofhockey Posted July 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2017 I would rather spend more time Budva than in Kotor. I would say Budva is worth it. Kotor is pretty touristy with mainly restaurants and bars. Budva has history and much prettier.
Afloat Posted August 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2017 On our cruise we had limited time in port departing at 2pm. Fortunately we docked in Kotor and did not have to tender which would have taken more time. We elected to take a tour to Budva and Sveti Stefan (private hotel but you get an excellent view from the road). Budva is a picturesque walled city. Our tour also provided a great view of Kotor and our ship from Mt. Trojica and then a tour of Kotor. The tour of Perast also included Our Lady of the Rocks. It was a difficult decision but since our ship passed by Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks and St. George's Monastery both on entering and leaving Kotor we elected to see Budva and Sveti Stefan. Whatever your decision I hope you have a wonderful trip.
