Sportmom55 Posted May 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2016 We are arriving on the NCL Escape in Miami on a Saturday morning and don't fly out until 7 pm. Should we take a taxi or uber to the airport to rent a car for the day? If we go to South Beach, is there even parking if we do rent a car? We will have all our bags, so we thought having a rental car made sense to store them. Any other ideas of what to do for the day? Any help would be appreciated! FlaGrl4Evr Posted May 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2016 (edited) The Savoy hotel on South beach used to have a day package where you could use the pool, the beach, dine at their restaurant and use the other hotel amenities. You did not get an actual hotel room but did have access to the gym and shower facilities. At least it would give you a place to park and enjoy a nice lunch and perhaps get in some beach or pool time for the day. It may be worth it to check. . capriccio Posted May 2, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2016 Parking is expensive in South Beach, especially hotel valet parking. Public parking info can be found at: http://web.miamibeachfl.gov/parking/scroll.aspx?id=30920. If you find a day room (check some of the larger hotels for availability) you could just take a cab/uber to the hotel and then take the airport flyer bus to the airport for less than $3 per person: http://www.miamidade.gov/transit/library/routes/150.pdf
