Fishing excursions

Not so in my experience. I love fishing and do it every chance I get. I have been on most of the fishing tours in Ketchikan and went salmon trolling in Juneau. Don't care much for trolling, as I'm a bottom fisherman at heart, but we at least got to watch the whales in Juneau. The tours are doled out to captains with 6-pack licenses which means no more than six passengers on small boats. In Ketchikan, my favorite is the fish and feast where they take you and your catch to a camp on shore and cook it up for you along with sides and a dessert. Nothing better than fresh caught! With other tours you can have your fish filleted, frozen, and shipped home. I have never felt crowded, although you do have to take turns when trolling as not everyone can have a line in the water at once.
