Horseshoe beach question

we were there last week on the summit, wednesday thursday and friday. We avoided it the first day, and we heard the crowds were terrible. We went Friday and it was much better. (get there as early as possible) There was also another cruise ship there, so i guess that added to the crowds. We went to elbow beach first day and loved it!! thought it was a little nicer than horseshoe. We also took the bus. The only thing we didn't like about horseshoe were the filthy bathrooms and the chairs looked dirty. You can walk further down on horseshoe and avoid the crowds if you don't mind carrying chairs umbrellas etc that far.

You have three choices of transportation to Horseshoe Bay:

(1) Mini van shuttle at $16 per person round trip. (This service recently replaced the "special" express buses that used to run that route.)

(2) Taxi...on Sunday about $45 each way per taxi for 1-4 passengers, plus tip. (fare would be less...about $35...Mon. to Sat.)

(3) Local #7 bus...$4 for a token in each direction, or by using a transportation pass costing $15, 25 or 35 for one day, two day or three day pass, respectively. This really isn't a good option as buses run only every 30 minutes and service ends relatively early in the day on Sunday.

How early does bus service end on Sundays from Horseshoe Bay beach stop?

The OP is obviously cruising on the NCL Dawn. Sunday is still probably the best day for Horseshoe Bay as it is the only ship in Bermuda. Should be much less crowded.

Check out this website for your arrival date in Bermuda.

The Norwegian Dawn is not the only ship in Dockyard every Sunday. Sometimes there are others such as the Grandeur of the Seas. Rather than relying on an unofficial third-party site for information, I'd suggest using the official Bermuda port schedule.

The last #7 bus back to Dockyard on Sunday would depart Horseshoe Bay at about 4:45 or 4:50pm...it leaves Hamilton at 4:30.

I'm deciding between taking a bus from the Dockyard to the Aquarium or the Ferry to Hamilton and then a bus. Anyone know how long it takes to get to the Aquarium by bus from the dockyard? I know the cost is doubled when taking the ferry route but if it saves alot of time, it might be worth it. We would be going from there over to Hamilton/Heritage nights in the evening so will be taking the ferry back at night.

Thanks
