Naples - Veiled Christ

Capella San Severo, where you'll find Sanmartino's "Veiled Christ" is located in the Spaccanapoli area, just one block behind Piazza San Domenico Maggiore and just a few blocks from Piazza del Gesu Nuovo.

On foot this is just under a mile from the cruise port, although it is slightly uphill.

The closest you can get by bus is along Via Monteoliveto, which is almost not worth it; by the time you walk to the stop to get the bus (Medina) you're only a couple of bus stops from where you'd need to get off.

If you don't want to walk a taxi is your best bet.

The museum's web site is here: http://www.museosansevero.it/en/

Edited to add:

Come to think of it, there is a bus option. If you think you'd use the HOHO bus in Naples, they do have a stop in Piazza del Gesu Nuovo.

We have seen it twice, it is fantastic. I wish they would allow pictures as it is the best sculpture we have ever seen. We have always walked, as EC says it is slightly uphill. You could catch a taxi to the Archeological Museum and than walk to San Severo and than back to the ship.
