Houston Airport to Galveston Hotel

In October we are flying in to Houston for a cruise on the Magic out of Galveston. Have booked a hotel in Galveston, does anyone have a limo service or way to get to the hotel that is their favorite. Our first time going there so any help is greatly appreciated. :) Flyboysmom

Our hotel suggested Island Breeze Shuttle and Galveston Limo, however we have decided to rent a car and visit family first.

We have used ExecuCar a few times and will use them again next cruise

Apparently Galveston police have actively chased Uber away - they are harassed at the port by authorities -

Rumor or fact? Haven't heard anything about Uber on the island.

There are separate areas for personal vehicles and taxis to pick up or discharge passengers. If Uber is bringing passengers to the island, perhaps they are using the wrong area.
