Port Vila tours

Can any fellow CC members recommend non ship shore excursions,tours or individual taxi or mini cab operators that provide tours from Port Vila. We will have 7 people in our family group and looking at ship shore excursions their pricing is high . Looking to see if there are any more cost effective alternatives. Thanking you in anticipation.

when you walk out the gate you will need a van so speak to some drivers and try and haggle a price that you both agree on but dont pay until you are finished for the day

You should be able to get a tour for 3-4 hours for the whole group for under $100 AUD. You will have to haggle as the drivers have an unrealistic idea of how much people will pay, then they will try the "per person" stunt. If your tour requires some taxi-waiting-time, don't be concerned. That does not cost extra.

A few years ago we took a group of seven to the Mele Cascades with sightseeing on the way, had the driver wait for a couple of hours, then had him drop us at Fung Kuei in town for our duty free shopping. We then had him take us back to the ship. By the way, there is a 'per-person' charge to enter the Mele Cascades, but it is worth it.
