Mike2131 Posted September 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2005 Is a parftial good enough? Some of the factors are: 1) How much time do you have? Full transits are usually 2 weeks are longer vs. the 10 night partial transit cruises. 2) Budget? 3) Where do you want to go and what do you want to see? 4) Open jaw airfares vs. round trip air. 5) Time of year? Many full transit cruises are one-time repositioning cruises whereas partial transit cruises are a schedule of mainly Fall/Winter/Spring sailings. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night partial transit cruise on the Coral Princess last December. I suggest you look at the reviews, get a good TA, do your homework, and get set for a great cruise. greatful Posted September 14, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted September 14, 2005 Thanks for reply you hit the nail on the head wife doesn't want to be gone 16 days, day before & day after + 14 for a total of 16. I double posted wasn't sure where I'd get the response. Thanks again.
land lover Posted September 15, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2005 Living on the west coast, I personally don't think the stops in Mexico and additional days at sea make the full transit inviting...I am a port person...If I like going through the canal part way, then I can do the full transit at a later date, if I find it boring as my sister did, then its off my list...... We are doing a partial in Jan. on the Coral:)
