Cruise Documents - How far before cruise? Sorry for the newbie question.

We are booked on the 3 November crossing from Hamburg to NY and have checked in on the Roll Call board for our cruise. On the roll call board many have received their documents. This is our first Cunard cruise and are not sure what to expect. How far before cruise date are documents sent? One most of our previous cruises with other lines everything is on-line so it may not be "normal" to receive a package.

Also curious about the Veterans on-board credit. Paperwork was submitted shortly after booking to Cunard for their review. We have received nothing to confirm the on-board. Is that routine?

Thanks for any information.

Your TA will have to call to confirm the Veteran's OBC. Cunard doesn't give you an acknowledgement directly. Same for Shareholders OBC if you own stock.

I think the books get sent out around 8 weeks ahead of time. You need to log into the Voyage Personaliser to obtain your e-ticket and (optionally) luggage tags. Some tags will be bound into the cruise book if you have a firm stateroom assignment rather than a guarantee booking but I just print them off.

The primary info in the book is excursion descriptions arranged by port of call but that info and everything else can be found in the Personaliser. There's a way there to opt out or receiving the hard copy book altogether but it's nice to have the book with your name on the cover. But everything you need will be found online long before the book arrives.

Thank you Underwatr for the quick reply. We have set up the Voyage Personalizer so we should be fine. We will call the TA to have them check on the on-board before we leave for Europe on October 1st. We are on Windstar Surf out of Rome on October 3rd for 10 nights and then traveling until QM2 on November 3rd. We were just trying to be sure all the ducks were in a row. Have a great day!
