AESONRISA Posted March 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there are excursion vendors waiting as you get off the port to sell you an excursion for the day? I don't want to make a decision until I know what the weather will be like and so was hoping I could wait until that day to decide whether I snorkel or kayak. Thanks for any info! Afitz23 Posted March 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2015 If I can give you one piece of advice for this port it would be to book ahead with Deadman's Reed (Paradise Cove). Grand Bahama Island is an "ok" stop but this excursion is by far the best and most cost efficient. Feel free to look them up through tripadvisor.com for all the info and reviews. Such a beautiful and secluded beach, incredible and easy snorkeling, cheap food... Wish I could go back today!
OCruisers Posted March 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2015 We just wait until we get there. Easy to take a taxi into town and go to a beach right there if it's a good beach day! :)
Afitz23 Posted March 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2015 Ya I guess you could do that if you like going to a beach where you'll be hassled to get your hair braided or buy a coconut every two seconds. Have fun!
elainmir Posted March 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2015 I want to do the Sands Brewery tour in Freeport for me and hubby but the ship doesn't offer it so we are going to grab a cab...wondering how to tell legit ones and what the cost should be? cruise4ofus11 Posted April 14, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Do you remember how much the cab fare is, we are 4 adults. Also how much is it to get onto the beach, we have our own snorkeling gear.
