ericstacie Posted June 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2017 Veteran cruisers like everyone here but 1st time in Alaska. In the Caribbean there are dozens of independent operators hawking tours as soon as you get off the boat as we all know. Is it the same in in Alaska? Particularly Skagway and Juneau? Thanks in advance.

Budget Queen Posted June 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2017 Alaska isn't the Caribbean. :) You are far better off, figuring out what YOU want to see and do in ports- in advance then that decision will tell you if waiting until you are on the dock to purchase tours. This is NOT a good option for many Alaska tours.
