San Francisco sightseeing suggestions wanted

Recommended Posts

We will be docked overnight in San Francisco at Pier 27. We've never been to San Francisco before and want to experience as much of the sights that we've heard about. We are doing a trolley tour and evening boat ride the first afternoon we are there and wanted to explore more on our own the second day. How far is it from Pier 27 to Fishermans Wharf? We want to ride a cable car. What else could we walk to from this area? Thank you!

Wow- I saw "Belmont" in your info, and at first thought of the city of Belmont 30-40 minutes south of SF.

If you read down the board, or get a guidebook like AAA, you will see many things to see, and help you fine tune your interests. Alcatraz is a very interesting site for many, but get your tickets in advance.

Also look over on the West Coast Departures board, here:

as SF gets a lot of coverage there.

Yes, Fisherman's Wharf is within walking distance, assuming no mobility issues.
