flourpot Posted January 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Here are all of the dinner and dessert menus on the Grand Princess Christmas and New Year's cruises. There are 14 dinner menus, 7 dessert menus (I forgot to take my camera with me to dinner the first week), both pub lunches, and Alfredo's Pizzeria. 12-22-12 Dinner: 12-23-12 Dinner: 12-24-12 Dinner: 12-25-12 Dinner: 12-26-12 Dinner:

shredie Posted January 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Thanks! I think these are the old new menus since these look like the ones from my Coral cruise in October. The new new menus are apparently like the old old menus (with the burger moving to "alternative" status.) Of course, I'm so confused with all the new new old old new old that I have no idea what is currently going on. ;)
Liz54 Posted January 13, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 13, 2013 They are the "Old New" menus. I am delighted to see some changes just for variety. However I have always found the food to be good to very very good. We travel with a restaurant owner/ caterer and she is always delighted with the food in the MDR. Given the scale of the operation and the affordable cost of cruising we have been very happy. Plus no planning, no shopping, no cooking and no clean up! sjbj Posted January 14, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 14, 2013 I will miss the first night seafood crock pot, but other than that I think the new menus look great. The only issues I'm going to have is how to make only one selection each night.
piscescruiser62 Posted January 14, 2013 #11 Share Posted January 14, 2013 My DH is pretty particular, basically a beef and potatoes kind of guy. Is there baked or mashed potatoes with gravy available to substitute for some of the other sides listed? Also, if all else fails on the menu that night can a steak be requested? Thanks so much for any advice or comments.
Liz54 Posted January 14, 2013 #12 Share Posted January 14, 2013 I have hear that the "New New" menu has put the beef medalions back on the always available menu, plus they have added a hamburger - Would he eat the hamburger with mashed? The chicken that is always available is very good for those who like it simple. He miught like the pot roast that appears every so often. Sides of potatos are no problem. We dined with someone who had a side of mashed every night. If all else fails, see what is on the kids menu too. I understand their spaghetti & meatballs is great. He can ask for doubles. If he is a meat & potatos guy consider a night at the steak house.
