Hello all- New to the Costa board, looking to sail Luminosa out of Miami. Have sailed a dozen inclucing NCL, CCL, and MSC(five times), loved Poesia, but Divina has gotten too big and americanized for us. Hoping Costa(Carnival) can give us back that Italian experience. We understand that north american marketing will not provide us with the full Mediteranian experience, and bull horns in five languages are to be expected, but good food and fun dancing late will do the trick. btw, how is that newly included drink package?

If you want late-night fun dancing, then I strongly recommend Luminosa or Mediterranea. I found Divina to be a major disappointment, although the menus have been changed for American tastes. If you're looking for a Florida-buffet-restaurant-at-sea experience, Costa is not a good choice, but there's a bunch of us from Toronto including some fairly picky foodie types, we've tried other lines including Cunard, we're now doing all our winter getaways on Costa.

I've been on the Luminosa a couple times. Going again out of Miami over NY Eve. No bull horns but at least five languages will be announced.

Lots of great dancing actually some of the best dancing available on cruise ships.

The AI drink package is on the top of our list for all the Costa cruises we go on, great deal.

Costa changes to the US$ aboard ship out of MIA.
