dmf823 Posted January 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2017 My wife and I would like to do the Segway and Beach excursion on Costa Maya. Has anyone done this and can you do it on your own or should we just book with the cruise line? Any comments would be appreciated.
SunshineMom68 Posted January 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2017 Would love to know about this myself. We will be going next month and I've always wanted to do a Segway tour. Thanks
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2017 I believe these are now all ship sponsored excursions. At one time Costa Maya Tours had them and they stopped at Pez Quadro. But I didn't see it listed on their website for separate booking.

je2001 Posted August 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2017 My teenage daughter and I did this through Carnival this week after the ship was diverted to Costa Maya instead of Grand Cayman. It was our third time on Segways. I would recommend this tour. Riding a Segway is easy and fun. The tour went through town and up and down the pedestrian walkway at the beach. There was a 30 minute stop at a beach area. My only (minor) complaints are that getting set up and started took a long time, and we didn't have time at the end for the beach. Also, although the price was comparable to what we've payed for Segway tours in the US, we were actually riding for much less time on this tour. Singer4Him Posted September 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2017 How far from the port do you have to go to begin this tour? Is it by bus, taxi or is it right at the port?
je2001 Posted February 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2018 The tour operator meets you right at the port, then the group walks to the place you get the equipment and watch a video. The ride ends near the beach and they gave us a voucher for a taxi back to the port. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
w8ing2cruz Posted August 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Do you know which beach the tour drops you off at?
c-leg5 Posted August 27, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Do you know which beach the tour drops you off at? There is only one beach with multiple beach bars. No problem walking to where you prefer. Won’t the tour company tell you where you end up or are you booking through the cruiseline?
je2001 Posted August 28, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2018 I don’t remember the name of the beach. The tour operator gave us taxi vouchers for the ride back to the port. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
