The Viking Posted July 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2015 It is set for single shot, but when I take photos in shutter mode, it takes multiple photos. That does not work with bird photography as you can imagine. Can anyone explain what I do wrong? Safe cruising.
Rare Turtles06 Posted July 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2015 There are several circumstances in which the camera will take multiple shots although you are not in burst mode -- it's doing so not as a burst (multiple shot with same exposure, etc.) but to take several photos at different settings (e.g. exposure), and sandwich the images together into one single, better, image. The usual "culprit" is an auto HDR or ISO setting. Dave answered the same question from another poster on the "main" Sony A6000 thread, here: In-camera HDR or ISO set to multi-frame NR. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=47063352&postcount=196 In that instance, the issue was this: Found my problem. Multi Frame NR in ISO setting its "ISO AUTO" I accidentally had it on and couldn't figure out why the 3 shots. I ended up setting the camera back to default. The main Sony A6000 thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2215195 I hope that's helpful.
The Viking Posted July 22, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2015 It was very helpful and solved my problem. THANK YOU! I had gone through the a6000 tread as I knew I had seen something related to my question, but must have overlooked it this AM.
