Cruise to Bermuda in Oct - How to Pack?

I will be cruising from NYC to Bermuda in mid October and was wondering how to pack. Is it going to be "fall" weather until we reach Bermuda? Or can we expect that ~1 day sailing away from NYC we'll have "warm" weather? Just wasn't sure when it transitions from cool to warm; any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Although Bermuda is not much further south than North Carolina, its proximity to the Gulf Stream means Bermuda is still quite warm in mid October. We like October in Bermuda because the weather is still warm but the humidity is lower than it is in mid summer.

Average air temperature ( the average of high and low) is 80.9, which means daytime highs should be in the mid 80's. We dress for summer weather for our October Bermuda cruises and have never been wrong.

Of course NY weather is another story. A couple of years ago we cruised to Bermuda in late October and came home to find our car buried in snow at the cruise pier thanks to a Halloween snowstorm.
