Summit. Deck 3, under entrance to casino

Never sailed Celebrity before.

Looking to surprise wife with a cruise in January. Found what looks like a pretty good deal for an oceanview (3068). Looks like the cabin is directly under the entrance to the casino.

Can anyone offer thoughts as to if the cigarette smell will permeate down to us, or the noise will be disruptive at night?

Thanks,

M

No, it is not. What is kind of annoying is that since there are inside cabins all along that hallway, there is more than the normal amount of inconsiderate people letting their doors slam shut ( a pet peeve of mine) but other than that my preferred outside cabins are on that floor.

If you have an option, the ideal cabins on that floor are the ones aft of center. They used to be conference rooms years ago so they have larger windows and it is a more quiet area as there are no insides across from them. But if you can't get one of those, where you are will be just fine.

No never heard much noise at all. Definitely not any from above. Casino is carpeted and not a lot of moving things around. Unlike if you are under the pool deck or Ocean View Cafe and they are moving tables and chairs around.

Is that the only outside cabin available on deck 3?

There are a few on deck 7 (VERY forward).

One on Deck 6 (all the way forward)

There are several on deck 3 available. Midship-forward, both port and starboard. 3068 is pretty close to midship so I was looking at it. There are some others under the Photo Gallery and the Studio a little further forward.

Deck 2 has some as well, although I am hesitant about booking at the lowest deck. I like lower (seasickness...) but I have heard it can be pretty rowdy in staff cabins.

Last September we stayed in OV Cabin on Deck 3 #3025 and it was fine. We have stayed in 3062 (inside) twice and 3053 (inside) and they were also good. I prefer a bit more forward on Deck 3 as mid ship has guest services and all that activity going on. As long as it's not too forward and under the theater. I don't think I would want any of the 300_ cabins.

As for deck 2, it's the quietest deck on the ship. Stayed down there twice. No one goes down there unless they have a cabin down there.
