which berth will my ship be in Venice

Often times neither the cruise line nor the captain are aware of this until it is near time to berth. Seems odd as the port should know what is arriving but we have had cruises where the dock is changed a day or two before. Also have been tendered when we were supposed to dock, guess someone beat us to the punch or slipped the pilot a quick $20. HAH

ok....that was what I thought. I am trying to get any info available on the actual berth. It makes a big difference as to whether we just walk or take the shuttle from the people mover.
