Independent Scuba shops for Western Carib cruise

Our family of 4 (with now adult kids) has done many dives on Western carib cruises to Cozumel, Belize, & Honduras, mostly on Carnival, & their excursion prices seemed very reasonable.

Our next cruise on Princess to Costa Maya (Mahajual), Belize, & Roatan, the ship's excursion prices are outrageously expensive: $180, $240, $140 at each port.

Any recommendations on on good independent operators at those destinations?

Thanks,

In Belize, we've used Sea Sports Belize and loved them! In fact, our scuba club is taking a group cruise this November and will use them again, along with Subway Watersports in Roatan. I've used both of these dive ops before and will definitely use them again. Both dive ops offer nitrox for a small additional charge.

Sea Sports Belize is just a short walk from the terminal. Subway Watersports will pick you up at the bottom of this hill you have to walk down, but will drop you off right at the terminal.

Both dive ops, at least in my experience, let you dive your computer/gas limit and not some pre-defined time.

Oh, and by the way.....

Go Army! Sink Navy!

:D
