Celebrity is not doing the Wonders of Nature Piton Heights on our cruise, so I found a tour w/ Spencer Andrews Heaven Bound Gros Piton climb. Has anyone done this tour? How tough is the hike? How is the tour? thanks

There are numerous threads about this on here, a very quick search will bring them up. Here are a few: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1557393&highlight=spencer+ambrose+gros+piton

We completed this hike/climb last Wednesday in 3 hours 40 minutes thanks to having some youngsters along for the climb they set a fast pace. It was very strenuous but we made it. I'm 56, DH 55. I am not a seasoned athlete but I did do some stair climbing, deep squats and deep knee bends and walked on the treadmill at a steep incline. Surprisingly enough the only thing that was sore was my left thigh. If I'd have known I would have walked steps and skipped one or two because that was how it was part of the climb.
