Joal Posted July 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Has anyone stayed in this particular cabin? We booked GTY for the Equinox Oct 2014 Mediterranean cruise. Just been assigned this cabin. Would appreciated any information about it. Thank you.
SweetBabyMaya Posted April 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2015 How was your cabin? We are assigned a similar cabin nearby for a June cruise. Deck plans show it is an obstructed view, but I can't tell to what extent. Were the lifeboats/tenders blocking your outward view to the horizon or downward to the water? Were you able to sit out on the balcony? We've had an obstructed view before, on a Costa ship, doors slid open, but the lifeboat was literally infront of out window...as in 6 feet away. It was noisy each morning when they worked/cleaned them as well as we couldn't see out. Any input on your Equinox cabin would be greatly appreciated! There is a board here for Celebrity cruisers, and they have a sticky on cabins on S class ships. If your cabin is a 6D, it is considered fully obstructed, because there will be a lifeboat/tender in front of it, with the roof og the vessel level with the top of the railing of the balcony. A 6C cabin is partially obstructed, because the smaller lifeboats are in front of them, and the roof of the boat is level with the floor of the balcony, so no view down.
