DIY Bike tour

Is there a map with a DIY bike tour of the island? If not, is the lighthouse easy to get to from the pier on bike? I like taking pictures, so am looking for scenic areas to photograph while there. Any suggestions would be great also, it will be my first time there. Thanks! :)

There are maps on the cruiseport site. One for the island, one for downtown Cockburntown. These are all you need.

It's about 6 miles from the cruiseport to the lighthouse. Once past downtown and the airport, traffic is very light--mostly taxis heading to the lighthouse. There are a couple of rolling hills, but nothing steep.

There's a bicycle rental shop in the cruise port center. Also Tony's, who rents golf carts and cars and motorcycles/scooter has bicycles. If you take a taxi to downtown. Grand Turk Diving on James Street rents bikes and will also give you maps and snorkeling equipment, if you wish.

has anyone does this and if so,

do you have to rent online or can you walk up?

how are the bikes? beat up or well maintained?

how much is it and do you have to put deposit on credit card

I'm wondering the same thing. Does anyone happen to know that above questions?

We hired cycles at the port in 2013 we just turned up plenty there.

There was one hire shop on the entrance just inside the port entrance and one just on the outside we hired from Omar just outside for $15 each, and very helpful he was too gave directions and a map.

We started our cycle straight down the main road but a tip for you cycle down the road until you see a small lake on the right and a (small)prison on the left and then turn left when you see the sign for the prison and you can continue your ride with beautiful sea views.

People were very helpful and friendly HTH
