Hotels for July 2017

Doing a little research for our post cruise stay next year (July 22, 2017). We usually stay in Vancouver in the June time frame --- noticed when checking for July 2017 that prices seem quite a bit higher for that month. Is this normal? Anything in particular that might be driving prices other than cruisers?
