Serengeti228 Posted July 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2017 Will have a port of call at Salalah (Oman) on Costa cruise. My research indicates that I am required to obtain a tourist visa or VOA (Visa On Arrival at airport, I believe). Has anyone who visited this port in the previous Costa cruises encountered the same visa requirement and did Costa provide group visa arrangement on board for those who needed it? Thanks. G.M.T. Posted July 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2017 One be careful about asking such information, visa requirements can can overnight, depends on nationality, where you are coming from how long will you stay etc. Just checked the Omani stamps in my old passport, one stamp says "Valid for 24 hours" together with entry and exit stamps, this was some years ago. I did not have to do anything. In the latest German catalog it states: "There is a visa requirement for entry into Oman, however cruise passengers and crew members do not need a visa so long as the stay is less than 24 hours." Check with your Costa ot TA that the 24 hours rule applies for your passport.
