St Thomas on My own?

Hello, I'm going on a cruise with NCL in June. It's me and my teenage kids. We would really like to explore on our own. The cruise ship tours are so expensive. We are mostly interested in walking and looking at historical sights and nature. We are nor interested in shopping, beach or water sports.

How do I get from the port to town? Can I maybe take a "private" tour or taxi?

You can easily walk to "town" it is about a mile along the water front. One website that is a good place to start is vinow .com

Getting a taxi in St. Thomas to wherever you want to go is not a problem.
