Thanks for the quick response! That was our plan!! Also read there was some north of the pier below the fort. Does that make sense?! Is it true? How far is it from the ship? (I'll have my 73 year old mom and 7 year old twins in tow.)

Sure, I think they are talking about Fort Frederik beach. I rarely snorkel that close to the pier so I'm not sure about the seaglass supply. It's an easy walk but you run the risk of being run over by paddleboards in the water.
