We are looking to sail from Yokohama and wonder where the ship docks and how far is it from the Narita Airport.

Any help is much appreciated.

You can take the Narita Express into Tokyo Station. It is fast, doesn't cost a lot and you can roll your luggage on the train.

If you need to get to the port, you can take the train to Yokohama then a taxi to the port. Also, you can take a taxi directly to the port. It will cost you about $100 for Tokyo Station.

Next concern about taking train from Tokyo to Yokohama is during rush hour on a work day. It could be very crowded and with luggage not a good idea. Still, our cruise embarked on a Sunday, so it wasn't a problem for some.

We used Green Tomato to arrange for transfer from our hotel at Tokyo Station.

There is a shuttle service from NRT to the Yokohoma subway and train

terminal. Taxi are at the platform. From there you could take the subway, but a taxi will cost about

15 us dollars. The shuttle was about 25. It is the cheapest and fastest way from the airport. The prices will depend on the exchange rate of the yen. Of course you could use your ships transfer. Taxis are very expensive in Japan.

The Narita Express goes all the way to Yokohama. The Intercontinental Hotel is connected to the station, though finding the way is tricky. The port is a short taxi ride from the station or hotel. http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/nex/

But if you have a lot of luggage, the bus will be a better option.

There are many other posts on this topic (Cruisecritic says 275), so I suggest a search if you want more information. I'm not sure if this saved one will work: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/search.php?searchid=88458959

There is also a direct train from Narita to Yokohama.

Choices are Ltd Narita Express 86 mins 4290 yen

JR Sobu/Narita line 127 minutes 1940 yen

there are other trains but they involve a change of trains

We like to get on at the airport and then we have a seat in the corner where we can put our luggage without being a bother to the locals.

At Yokohama you need to either taxi or change trains to the Minatomirai line to Nihon-Odori and its a 10 mins walk max to the ship. The pier is Osanbashi pier.
