Ooooh Fleet Week. Anything Interesting To Do?

As an ex-military man[13 years with H.M Royal Air Force] will there be anything extra-interesting to see or do while in San Diego for Fleet week?

Be sure you get to go aboard the USS Midway (aircraft carrier) which is now a floating museum (including an extensive aircraft collection) and is only a few steps south of the cruise ship pier. It will have some special Fleet Week events too.
